Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using FamDisplay, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of a family, you represent that you have the authority to bind all family members to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

FamDisplay is a family organization service that provides:

• A shared family calendar display
• Calendar syncing with third-party services (Google, Apple, Outlook, ICS feeds)
• Routines and task management
• To-do lists for family members
• A rewards and points system
• Mobile and tablet applications

3. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. Subscription and Payments

Free Trial

New accounts are eligible for a 30-day free trial period. At the end of the trial, you will need to subscribe to continue using the Service.

Subscription Plans

• Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, depending on your chosen plan
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe or Apple (for iOS App Store purchases)
• Prices may change with 30 days notice
• Prices may be adjusted with 30 days notice to subscribers

Cancellation & Refunds

• You may cancel your subscription at any time
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• No refunds are provided for partial billing periods
• For App Store subscriptions, manage cancellation through your Apple ID settings

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Share your account with anyone outside your household
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Upload malicious content or code
• Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited messages
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Resell or commercialize the Service without permission

6. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create (events, routines, to-dos, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a license to store, display, and process your content as necessary to provide the Service.

You are responsible for the content you create and must ensure it does not violate any laws or third-party rights.

7. Calendar Data

You grant us permission to access and display your calendar data from connected services (Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, etc.) for the purpose of providing this Service. We do not share your calendar data with third parties except as necessary to provide the Service. See our Privacy Policy for details.

8. Third-Party Services

FamDisplay integrates with third-party services (Google Calendar, Apple iCloud, TeamSnap, etc.). Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective third party's terms of service. We are not responsible for the availability or functionality of third-party services.

9. Intellectual Property

The FamDisplay name, logo, website, and application are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use our trademarks without written permission. The Service is licensed, not sold, to you.

10. Service Availability

We strive to keep FamDisplay available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may occasionally need to perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY MISSED EVENTS, APPOINTMENTS, OR TASKS DUE TO SERVICE ISSUES OR SYNC FAILURES.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FAMDISPLAY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold FamDisplay harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or for any other reason with notice. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

15. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.

17. Apple App Store Terms

If you downloaded our app from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply:

• These Terms are between you and FamDisplay, not Apple Inc.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app
• Apple is not responsible for any claims related to the app or your use of it
• Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them
• You must comply with Apple's App Store Terms of Service
• In case of any failure of the app, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price (if any)
• Apple has no obligation to address any claims relating to intellectual property infringement
